Remove Meta Tags from wav files in bulk Print

To remove ALL meta tags from a directory full of wav files first install the wonderful and free software MP3Tag by Florian Heidenreich.

Be sure to install with the display in contextual menu option enabled.

Open the directory and select all of the audio files. Then right mouse click and choose MP3Tag from the contextual menu.

Highlight all of the files again in the MP3Tag windows, right mouse click and select Remove Tag. All tags are then removed providing the file is writable.

MP3Tag can be used to batch tag ID3v1.1, ID3v2.3, ID3v2.4, MP4, WMA, APEv2 Tags and Vorbis Comments to multiple files at once to the following audio formats:

    Advanced Audio Coding (aac)
    Apple Lossless Audio Codec (alac)
    Audio Interchange File Format (aif / aifc / aiff)
    Direct Stream Digital Audio (dsf)
    Free Lossless Audio Codec (flac)
    Matroska (mka / mkv)
