This is usually fixed by double checking the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there and it is not set to optional ("Optional" previously used to work on iPhones and iPads for sending as the device would use the incoming user and password)
So to fix this issue on your device go to: Settings - Accounts - Mail
Then select the correct account and check that the OUTGOING MAIL SETTINGS match:
Host Name / SMTP: mbase.computerjazz.net
Username: Your username which is usually your email address.
Password: Your email account password.
Use SSL: Yes
Server Port: 465
